The Miraculous Healing Soup That Fueled My Surgery Recovery (and Still Powers My Life)

Updated: May 25

Miraculous Healing Soup
Miraculous Healing Soup

When preparing for my Xplant (breast implant removal) surgery,

I knew that how I nourished my body before and after would make

a massive difference.

I wanted to reduce inflammation, speed healing, and stay regular

despite the constipation that can come with post-surgery medications.

So I created what I now call my Miraculous Healing Soup

a vibrant, delicious, nutrient-rich bowl of comfort

that’s become a staple in my kitchen.

I’m excited to share it with you because whether you’re recovering from surgery, fighting inflammation, or just want to feel more energized and nourished—

this soup is pure gold!

🌿 The Recipe: Miraculous Healing Soup

(Make this Big Batch to last for the Week)

Ingredients (for a large pot ... 10–12 servings):

Soup or Stew (depends on what consistency you're looking for)

  • 3–4 tablespoons coconut oil (use ghee after surgery - lower sodium)

  • 2-3 inches fresh turmeric root, peeled and diced

  • 1-2 inches fresh ginger root, peeled and diced

  • 6–10 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 large red onions, diced

  • 3-4 cups mushrooms, sliced or chopped

  • 4–6 large carrots, peeled & sliced or diced

  • 2 medium beets, peeled and diced

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled & diced

  • 2 regular potatoes (optional), peeled & diced

  • Water (fill to cover all veggies and leave room for simmering — adjust for stew or soup consistency)

  • 1 organic vegetable or chicken bouillon cube (your flavor preference)

  • 1 - 2 bunches fresh cilantro, sliced

To add later when serving to individual portions:

  • Add additional water when heating if you want more of a soup consistency

  • Optional: organic eggs or cooked organic ground beef

  • Optional: add Spinach or Kale when reheating (simply wilt on top)

Toppings:

  • diced avocado

  • olive oil drizzle

  • squeeze ½ lime

  • sea salt (avoid salt for about 7 - 10 day after surgery)

Adding Soup Toppings

Instructions:

Soup or Stew:

  1. In a large soup pot, warm coconut oil (or ghee post-surgery) over medium heat.

  2. Add turmeric, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant, allowing the healing aromas to awaken your senses.

  3. Stir in onion and mushrooms. Sauté until everything is slightly softened and melded together.

  4. Slowly add water, bringing the mixture to a light boil.

  5. Add carrots, beets, sweet potato, and optional regular potato in stages, allowing water to return to a boil between each veggie.

  6. Add bouillon cube and stir.

  7. Add Cliantro. Simmer until all vegetables are tender.

To add later when serving individual portions:

    1. Optional: Add fried eggs or ground beef for extra protein.

    2. Serve with chunks of avocado, olive oil drizzle, lime juice and sea salt

(except - no salt after surgery)

    3. Pairs extremely well with fresh crispy Sourdough bread

🧠💪 Why This Soup Works Like Magic

Let’s break down the healing power behind each key ingredient:

🧄 Garlic, Ginger & Turmeric

These anti-inflammatory heroes support immune function, reduce swelling,

and help detox the body—essential before and after surgery.

Plus, they boost circulation and digestion.

🍄 Mushrooms & Onions

Loaded with antioxidants, these support immune health and help the liver do its job of clearing toxins.

🥕 Root Veggies (Carrots, Beets, Sweet Potato)

Rich in fiber, beta-carotene, and blood-building nutrients, these veggies support gut health, liver function, and energy production.

🌿 Cilantro

Known to help the body bind to and flush out heavy metals—a gentle, natural detox essential post-Xplant, especially if you still have mercury fillings (more gentle than other heavy metal detox’s).

🥑 Avocado & Olive Oil

Healthy fats help your body absorb fat-soluble vitamins and keep you feeling full

and satisfied. They also support hormone balance, skin repair, and brain health.

🧂 Bouillon & Protein Options

Adds depth and makes the soup a complete meal.

Protein is vital for cellular repair and recovery.Organic Veggies for Miraculous Healing Soup

🌟 Pro Tips for Making It Work For You

  • Prep ahead of time if you're having surgery, pre-make and freeze soup in containers.  Also teach your friends, family or housekeeper how to make it, since you won’t be able to cut veggies for a little while after surgery.

  • Make it your own: Add leafy greens like kale or spinach at the end, or swap veggies seasonally.

  • Stay mindful of coconut post-surgery—it's high in sodium. Use ghee instead during the healing phase.

  • Storage Tip: Let the soup cool and divide into portions. Store in the fridge (good for up to 5 days)  For longer storage, freeze portions in freezer-safe containers for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.

✨ Final Thoughts 💬

This soup was my secret weapon during recovery, and it’s still one of the best ways I love up on my body. Whether you're cleansing, recovering, or just craving something healing and hearty—this is it.   It’s delicious, deeply nourishing, and incredibly versatile.
